VCN – More than 30 imported consignments are medical supplies to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic of 14 businesses through ports in Ho Chi Minh City which are tax-free.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department, the consignments are imported through Saigon Port Area 1 and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. The imported goods are mainly raw materials for manufacturing medical masks, cloth masks, surgical masks, ear straps, nose splints, etc.The total exempted tax amount is more than VND 1.2 billion.
Among the above exempt import shipments, some companies are exempted from six to seven lots of medical supplies. All shipments are cleared by customs authorities quickly, without problems arising in tax exemption.
The above-mentioned duty-free consignments are on the list of exempted import goods for prevention of acute respiratory infections caused by the new strain of Corona virus (Covid-19).
